Loopway Cups Official Rules
Last updated: October 25, 2026
NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE WILL NOT IMPROVE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. THIS IS A GAME OF SKILL; CHANCE PLAYS NO PART IN DETERMINING WINNERS. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED.
1. Sponsor
Loopway Cups (the "Contest"), made up of the public Weekly Cup and any Campus Cups, are sponsored by Cole Mueller ("Sponsor"), the developer of Loopway. Contact: colemuel@outlook.com.
Apple is not a sponsor of, and is not involved in any way with, this Contest. Apple Inc. and its affiliates have no responsibility for the Contest, its prizes, or these rules.
2. Eligibility
Open only to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia who are at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in their state of residence if older (19 in Alabama and Nebraska, 21 in Mississippi), at the time of entry. Sponsor and members of Sponsor's immediate family and household are not eligible. One account per person; a person may not enter using more than one account. Void where prohibited or restricted by law.
Campus Cups are additionally limited to current students, faculty, and staff of the school or organization named in that Campus Cup who have an active email address at its email domain (for example, @utexas.edu). The school or organization is not a sponsor of the Contest.
3. Contest period
The Contest runs as a series of separate contests (each a "Cup"). Each Weekly Cup starts at 00:00:00 UTC on a Monday and ends at 00:00:00 UTC the following Monday. Each Campus Cup runs between the start and end times shown for it in the app, which are fixed when it is created and last no more than 31 days. Sponsor's server clock is the official clock. Sponsor may stop offering new Cups at any time; a Cup already in progress will be completed and its prizes awarded.
4. How to enter
Download the free Loopway app from the App Store, sign in, open Cups, confirm that you meet the eligibility requirements, and accept these rules. Then play the Cup's maze. To enter a Campus Cup, also enter its join code in the app. Entry is free. Every entrant in a Cup plays the same maze. You may play as many times as you like during a Cup; only your fastest verified time counts.
Nothing that can be bought or earned in the app helps in the Contest. Power-ups are not available in Cup mazes, and subscriptions, purchases, and watching ads have no effect on Cup play or results.
5. How winners are determined
Winners are determined solely by skill. At the end of each Cup, eligible entrants are ranked by their fastest verified time to solve that Cup's maze, fastest first. If two or more entrants have the same time, the entrant who used fewer moves ranks higher; if still tied, the entrant who set that time first ranks higher.
A time is "verified" when Sponsor's server confirms, by replaying every move of the run against its own copy of the maze, that the run was legal and reached the goal, and measures the time itself from the moment the run was started. Times the server cannot verify do not count.
6. Prizes
For each Weekly Cup, the following prizes will be awarded:
- 1st place: one $25.00 Amazon.com eGift Card
- 2nd place: one $15.00 Amazon.com eGift Card
- 3rd place: one $10.00 Amazon.com eGift Card
Total approximate retail value of prizes per Weekly Cup: $50.00. Each Campus Cup's prizes are shown in the app for that Campus Cup and are of the same type, with no single prize worth more than $599. The prizes for a Cup are fixed when that Cup starts and are shown in the app. Prizes are delivered by email as digital gift cards. No substitution, transfer, or cash equivalent, except that Sponsor may substitute a prize of equal or greater value if the stated prize becomes unavailable. Gift cards are subject to their issuer's terms. Limit one prize per person per Cup.
Winners are responsible for any taxes on prizes. A winner whose prizes from Sponsor total $600 or more in a calendar year must provide a completed IRS Form W-9 before receiving further prizes and will receive an IRS Form 1099.
7. Claiming a prize
Potential winners are notified in the app. To claim, a potential winner must provide an email address in the app (for a Campus Cup, an address at that Campus Cup's email domain) within 30 days after the Cup ends. Sponsor may require a potential winner to sign a declaration of eligibility and compliance with these rules before awarding a prize. A potential winner who does not claim in time, who is found ineligible, or whose prize email is undeliverable and who does not respond to Sponsor within 7 days forfeits the prize, and it may be awarded to the next-ranked eligible entrant. Prizes are sent within 14 days after a valid claim.
8. Fair play and disqualification
Sponsor may review any run and may disqualify any entrant, and void any time or prize, if Sponsor reasonably believes the entrant used bots, scripts, automation, modified software, or any other unfair means; used more than one account; shared an account; or otherwise violated these rules or Loopway's Terms of Service. When an entrant is disqualified, the entrants ranked below them move up.
9. Privacy
Your in-game nickname and Cup times are shown on the public Cup leaderboard. For a Campus Cup, the join code you entered is stored with your account. The email address you give to claim a prize is used only to deliver that prize and contact you about it. Cup results and prize claims are kept as a record of the Contest even if you later delete your account. See the Privacy Policy.
10. General conditions
By entering, entrants agree to these rules and to Sponsor's decisions, which are final on all matters relating to the Contest. Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, or incomplete entries, or for network, server, device, or software failures. If the Contest cannot run as planned because of technical failure, tampering, or any other cause beyond Sponsor's control, Sponsor may cancel, modify, or suspend the affected Cup and award prizes based on verified times recorded before the problem began. To the extent permitted by law, entrants release Sponsor from any liability arising from participation in the Contest or receipt or use of a prize. These rules are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States.
11. Winners list
For the names of a Cup's winners, email colemuel@outlook.com within 60 days after that Cup ends. Past winners' nicknames are also shown in the app.
