Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 22, 2026

Loopway ("the App," "we," "us," or "our") is a maze puzzle game developed by Cole Mueller. This Privacy Policy explains what information Loopway collects, how it's used, and your choices.

1. Information we collect

  • Account & identity: when you sign in with Sign in with Apple, we receive an Apple-generated identifier and, optionally, the name you choose to share. This creates your Loopway account and syncs your progress across your devices via Apple's iCloud (CloudKit).
  • Gameplay data: your level progress, per-level stats, power-up balances, in-game nickname, friend list, and any scheduled races, stored via CloudKit and associated with your account.
  • Purchases: if you subscribe to Remove Ads or a power-up plan, Apple processes the transaction and shares purchase/subscription status with us so we can grant the matching in-app entitlement. We never receive or store your payment card details — Apple handles all billing.
  • Push notifications: if you enable notifications, we store a device push token to notify you about friend-race invitations and results.
  • Advertising: Loopway shows ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob and its partners may collect device identifiers and other information to serve and measure ads, and, with your permission, to personalize them. See Google's Privacy Policy for their own data practices. You can opt out of personalized advertising through your device's tracking permission settings.
  • Nickname moderation: nicknames are automatically screened before being shown to other players, to prevent abusive or inappropriate names.

2. How we use this information

To operate and sync your gameplay progress; enable social features (friends, races); process purchases and grant entitlements; send push notifications you've opted into; and serve advertising to players who haven't subscribed to Remove Ads.

3. Sharing

We share information with Apple (Sign in with Apple, CloudKit sync, push notifications, App Store purchases) and Google/AdMob (advertising). We do not sell your personal information.

4. Multiplayer and other players

Loopway includes online matchmaking (Quick Race) against other players, and friend races with people you invite. Other players may see your chosen nickname. There is no in-app chat or free-text messaging.

5. Children

Loopway is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

6. European Economic Area, UK, and Switzerland (GDPR / UK GDPR)

If you're located in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, this section applies to you in addition to the rest of this policy.

Data controller: Cole Mueller, contactable at colemuel@outlook.com.

Legal bases for processing:

  • Account creation, gameplay sync, and social features (friends, races): necessary to perform our contract with you — providing the App's core functionality.
  • Nickname moderation and anti-abuse measures: our legitimate interest in keeping the App safe and usable for everyone.
  • Personalized advertising: based on your consent. Where required by law, we request your consent before showing personalized ads; if you don't consent, you'll still see ads, but non-personalized ones.

International transfers: Apple and Google process data on servers located outside the EEA/UK, including in the United States. Both rely on recognized transfer mechanisms (such as Standard Contractual Clauses and/or the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework) to protect data transferred this way.

Retention: we keep your account and gameplay data for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period afterward to handle backups and legal obligations, or until you request deletion.

Your rights: you have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of (portability) your personal data; to object to or restrict certain processing; and to withdraw consent at any time (for example, for personalized ads) without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at colemuel@outlook.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority.

7. California privacy rights (CCPA/CPRA)

If you're a California resident, you have the right to:

  • Know what personal information we've collected, used, and disclosed about you in the past 12 months, and the categories of third parties we've shared it with.
  • Delete personal information we've collected from you, subject to certain exceptions.
  • Correct inaccurate personal information.
  • Opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your personal information. We don't sell personal information for money, but allowing Google AdMob to use device identifiers for advertising purposes may be considered "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising under California law. You can opt out by disabling ad tracking in your device's tracking permission settings, or by contacting us at colemuel@outlook.com.
  • Non-discrimination for exercising any of these rights.

We don't knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16 years old.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at colemuel@outlook.com. We may need to verify your identity before completing your request.

8. Your choices

You can review or manage your iCloud-synced data through your device's iCloud settings, or contact us at colemuel@outlook.com to request deletion of your account data.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time; the "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision.
